We do have a more modern one in the house with the switches in the top. We have been here nearly 19 years so I would say that is about right for his age as I think we bought him when we moved inThat must be mines great grand dad or something!
My oldest one is at least 12 years old maybe a tad more.

what about a george? So anyone got a wet and dry and is it OK for carpet?
Cheers.
I was using a George yesterday to empty a bilge prior to welding. It was really good. I have no comparator to it’s sucking power as this is a family forumwhat about a george?
Doesn’t the bag get all soggy?I was using a George yesterday to empty a bilge prior to welding. It was really good. I have no comparator to it’s sucking power as this is a family forum
Wet oily bilge with lumps in didn’t phase it.
Sounds good, Does it have a float switch so water doesnt get sucked in the motor?I was using a George yesterday to empty a bilge prior to welding. It was really good. I have no comparator to it’s sucking power as this is a family forum

Not really certain. It must do I suppose. When it’s full it tells you and you can empty him out. It can spray as well so you can fill it with detergent then push it into a carpet then suck it back out.Sounds good, Does it have a float switch so water doesnt get sucked in the motor?
A vacuum repair man told me that the greater majority of cleaners that he mended just wanted emptying, do people think it digests the rubbish? Where do they think it goes?
yeah they do have a ball valve thing ...had ours years still going strongSounds good, Does it have a float switch so water doesnt get sucked in the motor?
