Just thought I'd share, bought these last Christmas after a lot of hesitation and now I don't know how I got on without them. Small enough to reside in my office room, and remarkable how much can be done with something so small! Wife complained a bit at the cost until I used them to fix her blender and coffee machine

Yes Mini Mill. Bought the lathe first then found that only got me two thirds of the way with most parts, so got the mill as well.

Yep, had to pick a chip out of my kid foot :/ now I do serious chip control.

Why to one in the flat, or why to not having one in there?

If you just turn brass or aluminium you won’t need any oil and the swarf is easy to hoover up

Dont worry about it. I will take a picture of the guys workshop who does motor rewinds and things a few doors down. Oily dirty floor, covered in swarf and tools everywhere. It was his lounge. With wingback and TV still there

Well I don't make high accuracy parts, 0.1mm is plenty for me, so it's difficult to say. However I did notice when setting the tram that the guage would fluctuate as I turned the handwheels, so clearly these things are "noodly". Mine are made by Sieg and I don't have any of the serious quality issues that others report and I've had both machines stripped down and carefully checked. Spare parts are also very low cost which is great for a novice if you damage anything.
