Hi,
I'd like to touch up my arch lips but don't want to get any paint on the main body of the car. The car was painted recently but whatever happend on the lips wasn't good enough as they had some surface rust forming.
I have rubbed down the rusty bits back to metal and put some treatment on it. Plan to wash it off and rub back again to be sure and then apply epoxy and colour + top.
I'm looking for some tips on the best way to mask this - this is my first time on this type of work - is it as simple as just following the outer arch line? I know i will likely have a paint lip doing this - thought i might rub it off with some 1200 grit paper before lacquer?
Is there a better approach? I'm not too fussed with overspray inside the arch and will remove the wheel. Some pics of the area to work on
