Ive tried to come off the tools a few times, finally managed it and its amazing how knackered using your brain all day makes you feel

Amen to that. For the four years before I retired I was part of a two man team running the south-west region for a national company. The job entailed delivering training courses, monitoring other trainers, disciplinary, troubleshooting etc. That said, I did enjoy it most of the time. But now I'm retired without too many cares, it's been great to get back to what I really loved . . . working with metal.

Me too, I sent the PC back on Jan 28th and have spent the last two months enjoying my workshop!! John is already set up for that so it won't be much of a change for him
