Good luck John, I made the move from tools to desk 20 years ago and never looked back!
Amen to that. For the four years before I retired I was part of a two man team running the south-west region for a national company. The job entailed delivering training courses, monitoring other trainers, disciplinary, troubleshooting etc. That said, I did enjoy it most of the time. But now I'm retired without too many cares, it's been great to get back to what I really loved . . . working with metal.Ive tried to come off the tools a few times, finally managed it and its amazing how knackered using your brain all day makes you feel
Good luck
Me too, I sent the PC back on Jan 28th and have spent the last two months enjoying my workshop!! John is already set up for that so it won't be much of a change for himAmen to that. resultHad 3 interviews and been offered 3 jobs .
Not bad for an "oldie".
Going to be doing 4 days a week mainly MOTs for a local garage .
No more clutches and timing belts .
Gives me a bit more time to do what I want to do
