They seem to be all different pitches and angles. Are all of the knurling wheels the same pitch and pattern? are they straight or angled cut?
They look like a brand newNot if they're unused. Three jaws and the split nut are what comprises the rebuild kit.
They seem to be all different pitches and angles.
I will have to measure and inspect them to see if there is any reference to a maker.
Yeah no problem mate. Note it has a small square key not hex.I was going to make one of those die holders but have not got around to it yet, the chuck screw looks bigger than the ones in my light weight four jaw, if it is ok with you can I measure the size of mine tomorrow Brad.
Thank you, the square chuck key is right for the Myford Bernerd chucks, the four jaw takes a smaller key than the three jaws, I'll get the callipers out tomorrow.Yeah no problem mate. Note it has a small square key not hex.
That makes sense then.Thank you, the square chuck key is right for the Myford Bernerd chucks, the four jaw takes a smaller key than the three jaws, I'll get the callipers out tomorrow.![]()
Weird there was no cylindrical grinder there. Must of been from before they moved to the current premises.Second item is a spring winder (Hemingway Kits sell a kit for one). The felts are Myford 7-series bed wipers. Dismantled Coventry die head. Drive dog for a cylindrical grinder in same box (has two dog cut outs instead of the single one for a lathe drive dog).
I agree. It looks like the "locating ring" and "spindle adapter" (sometimes called "hub adapter") for a lever-type collet closer. The first item, is a part of a collet closer system that would have been on the Colchester. (its the back end would have a had lever etc)
I’ve got that elsewhereThe first item, is a part of a collet closer system that would have been on the Colchester. (its the back end would have a had lever etc)
