Bloke got rid of it as he lost his 3ph supply (moved premises). That's a beast
If at some point in the future you're interested in getting an older Singer, keep a look out for a 201k (preferably the earlier cast iron ones as opposed to the later cast alloy). Try to avoid the potted motor version 201-2 (more common in the US) spares for the motor can be tricky.
If on eBay they're frequently collect only, so there are bargains to be had if the seller is conveniently close to you, particularly if the machine is described as 'spares or repair' due to a run away foot pedal. Common problem caused by the failure of the noise suppression capacitor, you can just cut it out but for 30p or so, replace it with another of the same value and you're good to go.
The last 201k I bought was in a table cabinet sold as 'spares or repair' (with a failed capacitor) and cost me 99p. The sewing fraternity reckon the 201k was the best domestic machine that Singer ever made.
Don't believe the eBay sales hype of describing older machines as 'light industrial', there has only ever been domestic and industrial and there's a whale of difference between the two. The speed that an industrial is capable of stitching at comes as a shock to most domestic users and for leather a walking foot makes a huge difference
The 201 will however stitch 6 layers of denim, or leather as shown below (with a leather needle) but there's no zig zag:

Blimey, long time I've not seen you on here. You alright mate ?It is worth fitting a servo motor to whatever you buy. The standard clutch motor takes some getting used to and will not single stitch like a servo either. Best investment I ever made.

Good stuff, glad to see you back, hello to Dee. (Hope I've remembered her name). Not bad. Been keeping a low profile because the animal abusers got me too hot under the collar and so I decided to not post at all rather than getting banned for speaking my mind. I just have a long and growing block list now so let's see how it goes.
Made me laugh, the motor will run on 220v too,
