3 phase tigs that only use 2 of the phase's on 240V

I had a look at the spec sheet for the migatronic mta 200. It's all in norwegian,and says 2x 380V for the mta ,I'm I right in thinking it only uses 2 of the 3 phase's and therfore it's possible to run it on a single phase supply?

just found the english version and it is mains voltage at 2x380v-so it will work on 240v?

Only if it says it will work on 240v. Most Miller tigs for example, have internal jumpers to allow them to run on a range of voltages. Dunno about Migatronics

Hello Phaseonix,

unless, as Drains says, it can be internally jumpered then no it won't run on 240 volts.

It is rated for 380v which is 2 phases of a 380/220v three/single phase system, i.e. 380v phase to phase and 220v phase to neutral.

thanks for the replies and clearing that up for me.looking at the schematic it does't show any voltages on the primaries as they are numbered and the page with the key on is not included
