I was thinking of getting an inverter, not for serious stuff, just for garden bits and pieces and I came accross a neat little inverter from Güde (or Guede if you don't have a ü). Here is the website http://www.guede.ws/cgi-bin/twinklecom.cgi?lang=0¶m=page&tid=8000
The GX 100 model seems to tick a lot of my boxes, small, light and around €120. Comes with leads but no rods/mask/etc.
It seems like it's made in Germany but doesn't explicitly say so but neither does it say those dreaded words ¨Made in China¨
