Torch for noob

I've just taken delivery of my first TIG welder, it's DC only and lift arc, thermal arc fabricator 211i, I need a tig torch.

Has no solenoid for gas in TIG mode or post flow settings (to use a euro connector torch) so I'm opting for a valved torch.

However it also needs a trigger according to the manual, I guess the torch doesn't stay "live" all the time like some do?

I can't seem to find any that have both so I guess it's "elastic band a switch onto the torch" as I've seen so many times.

There's a bewildering range...any recommendations for a decent torch and switch to go along with it? I think a WP17 size will do me fine.

Budget....£100 max.

If you go gas lens id say its worth going ck all the other bits ive been content with ebay specails

What about a trigger switch, any recommendations?

The Parweld Pro Max ones are really nice; very ergonomic and a nicely flexible cable - whichever (17/26) range you think you'll need. They quite often come up at very good prices on eBay, also Highland Industrial Supply in Dundee gave me great prices too - PM me if you want the email address for the welding mannie there.

@Hood Got me looking at the a couple of years ago when I first paid him a visit; he has the water cooled ones so they are even smaller and lighter.

I like both of these style, i think i prefer the lever as the button i find it to easy to accidentally release thats my problem not the switch

You can get a valved switched WP17 torch, I sold one on here last year.

This one came with a welder I bought so I don't know where it was bought.

If you can find one I would advise you to buy a flex head torch, they make awkward welds so much easier.

CK torches are hard to beat for the price.

binzel pretty nice. Not a big fan of the parweld type grip torches but the integrated button is nice.

I concur, dont like the paraweld torch at all.
