I only buy the canvas ones - they are cheaper - to be honest I get them so wet and muddy - the leather ones never dry out!

Depends how bored you are but mine is a welding apron (present I never used) with an old jacket inside. Didn't realise you could buy them to be honest.

I’ve been using my jacket rolled up but it’s not really ideal. I’ve seen a few guys with them over the years but never had a need till now

The whole of Aldershots military camp used to run off steam, a lot of these pipes were huge and where it was clipped surface in some of the buildings it was caged, there were many hidden makeshift beds perched on top of these cages. I am sure the nightshift in the REME workshops clocked on and went straight to bed

I could never work out where all the sponge came from........there were also Hammocks made from Canvas and I never saw any canvas....none of the lorries had canvas.

I half fill a 5l soft plastic can with water & use that for my head if I'm working under a car.

When I was HGV fitting as a young man I’d go to sleep in them, under them, on top of them, anywhere really. The only place I didn’t go to sleep was on the actual bed as it was the first place the gaffer would check!
