Hi all
Just thought I’d post a little review on this cutter.
So I’ve had a Hyundai 200amp mig welder for a couple of years now and it’s been a cracking welder for the money I paid. I bought it as a spare welder and to go on site when needed. Mega impressed with its quality
and reliability, I even run stainless wire through it when repairs on boats are called for.
I’ve had the usual Chinese plasma cutters and no matter how patient I’ve been with them they still have broken down, send em back, new one turns up, broke down, send em back and so the cycle continues.
I just recently noticed that Hyundai are selling a cut 40, now it looks the same as the Chinese cut 40 but with two year warranty and uk based service.
Going on the good fortune I’ve had with the mig I thought £400 has got to be better than the cycle I was in
with the other cutters.
Im pleased to say that I was correct. Bought it on a Monday and it turned up the next day with all the usual bits in the box. 4 meter harness, 2 meter earth clamp, very good quality pressure gauge with a water catch but the thing I noticed straight away was the weight as it felt twice as heavy as the other cutters I’ve owned. So with my new toy I had it working on jobs straight away. Lovely clean cut on 3mm stainless and the same on 6mm mild steel.
Now I can’t tell you how reliable this is but it fills far better quality than the others I’ve had and from undoing the box to first cut was a quick and painless process.
None of this praying to the plasma gods and tapping the side of the machine to try and getting it to cut, pretty please!!!
