Dr, alternatively I have one of these you can have, kids interest in guitars didn't last long enough to fix it to the wall.... in a box upstairs somewhere, brand new, one careful owner, low miles etc....

think it's a hercules, but haven't seen it for a while...

Yes, I did look at those, but wasn’t taken with the gloss finish. (Finger prints :scared:

I was thinking of cutting out two G clef’s either side of the snout wider at the bottom for the body to sit on, closing up at the machine head. But I’ve lost the love for that over night. I’m now thinking of a weighted base with canter lever affair to hold the snout at [its] base, with some sort of cup/fingers at the nose end to hold the Neck of the guitar. So when it is off the stand you just have a Sawfish Snout on display????

A nice piece of interesting wood for the base might be an option. Hollowed out underneath to take some ballast.

You should be able to remove it from the wood block and mount it on a moveable stand. What's nice about this holder is with the weight the guitar hung on it, the ears rotate and lock the neck preventing the instrument from out.

It looks like a sturdy holder, unfortunately not organic for my needs and the look. I don’t want the Sawfish snout to look like a guitar stand when not in use

well that was easier than usual, first box opened and there she was, see miracles do happen

.... anyway a wee bit dusty, but it is indeed a new hercules... as to who was first, not sure, if the good Dr doesn't want it seems to be between @atomant48 and @minimutly I'll leave you to sort it out betweens yourselves, then drop me a pm and I'll stick it in the post...

Its a premium quality item apparently being offered for free. With regards additional charges, I seem to recall once that I didn't have to pay on an item that was labelled as a return; something to consider worth checking on. :dontknow:

And yet another root about... these are 3 of the pistons from my Pickup. Good weight to stop it from tipping. I could use the wrist pins to connect them together, with some sort of top for the body of the bass to sit in, and fix the Rostrum.

A decoke and polish would help. One’s been Messed with to look like a skull. I could cut other faces in the other 2 or use 3 plain.

Ive given up with the artyfarty one for the minute for lack of inspiration.
We need to get rid of an old oak table of my dads, no one wants it, so I’m going to repurpose the extending top bits, and build a simple canter lever hang by the neck type.
