I bought a Wera ratcheting screwdriver on the strength of people praising Wera on this forum. Its pants.
The bit holder slides in the end of the handle and is released by pushing a lever on each side. It is terrible to use, once you've managed to press the levers enough (impossible with gloves on) you cannot get the bits out of the holder without a nail or something to push them out.

These are almost sexual.
They do look really nice but I would question the logic of having a 4mm Allen key on a 1/2 drive, if it doesn't snap it will end looking like the sign outside a barber's shop.

second that! A colleague of mine bought a set of the wera ones and they didn’t take the same abuse of the Gedore. The retaining ball is a weak point on them.

Not quite. Trainees used to come in regular with their shiny Halfords metric sets only to have the vast majority of them be useless and the ones that do fit risk damaging fasteners.
But you certainly will struggle a lot of the time to get AF stuff from European manufacturers, just like you will struggle to get complete screwdrivers sets from Japanese manufacturers.
