Xtreme has a remote viewer so he can do a lot of the fault finding and things via your internet connection which is handy. However, the PC doesnt come with a modem so you'll need a USB wifi dongle. Bought one online, plugged it in - "Please connect your computer to the internet to download the driver" FFS!! That however was not Robs problem
Managed to get a driver and put it on via USB stick. Not needed the remote access yet but sods law says if I dont have the Wifi thing then I'll need it.Not sure if you’ve already ordered your table but have you considered the tables you see for sale on ebay?

I ran one of these tables in an 8x4 size for 4 years, best purchase I ever made, great customer service from the lad who sells them - Dave will guide you through any problems and can access the computer remotely if need be, only recently sold it on when I upgraded to an ESCCO Procut due to the amount of work I was doing with the table, running almost 7-8hrs every working day.
When we had the ebay table we gradually upgraded from a powermax 65 to an 85 and finally a 105, the table handed it all very well. Now I cant seem to find prices for the swiftcut and xtreme table but From what I can see the swiftcut and the xtreme plasma come with virtually same software as my old table, sheetcam and mach3. Im not sure what your level of CAD experience is but I have used a free 2d cam software called solidedge for years now, simpler to use than autocad. So that would be the same regardless of what table you buy no matter how expensive, its a learning curve entering the CNC plasma game definitely.
When I contacted swiftcut about upgrading a couple years ago they said over the phone that it wouldnt be much of an upgrade and instead guided us to buying a hyamp torch for better consumable life with the 105.
On the other hand I will say that the techserv based software that comes with the ESCCO table is a huge step up from mach3 in terms of ease of use if you arent someone who is confident with computers, more like a phone app. ESCCO make a more entry level table called the Ezicut that would be worth a look Im sure.

If you have a look at the cut quality ZTFab gets with his Hypertherm 65 it certainly should be possible to get decent cuts, I think you just need a decent rigid table.
I need to play with the speeds and feeds that the swiftcam software inputs to see if it can be improved.
We use a refrigerative dryer so our air is pretty dry, I’m still toying with trying a desiccant dryer right before the table. The desiccant should last ages before it needs drying.

Do not disconnect the inlet from the compressor when it's pressurised! You will shotblast your hand!

They also charge a £1000 for remote commissioning (saying how to turn it on) of the machine and training.
I have considered these machines. The price is good but I can't find much information about them. It would be good if they had a website with a bit of information about them. I do like the water table position. Not keen on the cable management.
I noticed they trade under multiple names too which puts me off a bit, also sheffield is quite far from me. There's Redline CNC Systems(website down), Rapid-Laser(website down), RapidSales, WizardCNC(website down but they have a youtube channel).
Maybe I should just make one.
Aye not too sure what the deal is with the different trading names, it is definitely the same guy.
A couple other lads I know have bought tables from him after I got mine and they all love them as well. All I’d say from my experience is all the entry level tables are very much the same, made up from components you can easily buy with software you can also get relatively cheap. To the point where you can watch a tutorial for say a swiftcut table or xtreme table and transfer that to those ebay tables, basically paying for a name.
The only reason I’d go with a more expensive table is if they are offering more user friendly software like PlasmaCam or techserv based. Hypertherm ProNest also looks good and can be used with virtually any table I think
Like you said if your up for it, building your own wouldnt be a bad idea.

Remember the desiccant will still pull out moisture as it pulls the dew point to less than 0° where a refrigerative dryer does 3-4°C

I've got a commercial unit I've installed after the refrigerant dryer on my new compressor to feed the laser cutter when it is installed.
These work by having two columns of desiccant, one is drying the air and bleeding 20% of this dry air into the second column to recharge the media. After a certain period valves switch the columns over to start using the now dry desiccant and to recharge the other column:
