So we're saying the steel toed ones I bought from Aldi around 10 yrs ago and still going strong won't do . . .?
Admittedly only used for serious mud or concreting - and I've not done either for a while, but the boots used to live in the kitchen as they were easy to step into to nip out.

I live in my Aigles. I use them as walking boots as well. When you wear them all the time there is a big difference between a really comfy boot and a cheap one.

See if you can find Nora wellies for sale, some decent shoe shops stock them. Made from rubber, not plastic, warm, very comfortable & last for years.

That the unlined ones? I used those for years before I started wearing leather boots. I don’t own a pair of wellies now.

not a fan of wellies at all, after about 10 minutes, feel like I'm walking in a bucket of water, with no support at all...
prefer a decent leather lace up boot dubbed up to "almost water proof" with a good quality dubbing. Then a pair of decent gaiters... used that combination for years out. Work on the principle, when they eventually get wet I'll deal with it, but at least with lace ups my feet and ankles are supported properly hiking around after the dogs etc...
the only time I really use the wellies is for concrete or digging out the chicken sheds...

that said there's usualy plenty of choice here in the farm type places, so if you get stuck let us know and I'll have a look for you.

Thanks for all the opinions,I’ve ordered some Grubbs frontline ,the good old Dunlop’s just won’t do for her,so when we’re out and about I’ll be ten paces in front in my trusty Jewson specials steel toed,£10..

We don't get muckboots over here, will investigate...

I find muckboots don't last long but I have never worn anything as comfortable in my life, especially when its freezing. It feels like wearing your slippers in the living room regardless of temperature outside.
And also the ankle support is brilliant. If I run down the field in normal wellies you'd break your ankle, in muckboots no problem.
