Big vice

As some will have noticed I like making tools ie straight edges and English wheels.
I’ve found a foundry for my latest plan, recreating my 150kg heavy chipping vice
Patterns are under way!

Of course, but it'll also displace a couple if you try to pick it up....

Theres a massive Record on ebay at the moment, blokes got it up for £3250 that is not a typo from me 8.5" jaw width 12.5" opening or something ? massive chipping vice

No Ive just been looking for it again, but theres over 2000 hits on ebay for "record Vice" .....the listing said iit was the largest vice that record made and they were very rare (but I suppose it would if hes trying to get that for it)

I gave one of the lads at work a hand to draw this up and get the profiles for him. I'd have plated over the front and back personally, it's not really a 'beating' vice, but more for holding 10" stainless pipe and associated fittings.
