Hi
Newbie here……I've just bought myself a second hand Cebora Apollo 215 MIG welder (range is 24amps to 165amps). It has a purple Parweld torch Euro attached. I assume it’s not what it came with new. I’m trying to work out what torch it is so that I can re-order spares/ consumables - correct diameter and length of shroud for example. .
The shroud on the torch is push fit and its diameter is bigger than the one on my Cebora Autostar torch (15mm ID compared to 13.5mm ID). The torch is an older model, but from comparing to the Parweld catalogue, I think the torch is a Parweld “eco-grip Max” torch - possibly a 250Amp model given it’s look and the power of the welder? If so, does that make it an ‘MB25’??? and BZL?? Whats the difference between a BZL (Binzel?) and BND (Bernard?) anyway please? The Parweld torch and cable, when new are set up for 0.8mm to 1.2mm wire. For car panel work, is 0.8mm suitable or is it better to buy a new blue liner and appropriate tips (and wire feed roller on the welder) and use 0.6mm - given the lowest setting on the welder is 24 amps?
