Got the steel cut and holes drilled for a set of shelves today. Planning on slotting wooden battens long ways between 3 steel tubes then MDF on top.
Put a new starett hole saw set to use. I think my drill press is spinning a bit fast even on the lowest setting but the saws seemed happy enough.
Another project that shows me why I need a mill!
I’m undecided Yet whether I’m going to put a web inside the RHS where the tubes weld in. I think it’ll be fine (it’s going to hold camping stuff and no more than 100kg per shelf.
The second set of holes is one side only for the socket to fit through. Another quick job for the resin and M10 threaded bar, now that I’m a total convert thanks to the advice on here!!
I’m also getting better at storing my steel so far less surface rust to deal with :-)
