Got a tub of this given to me yesterday - anyone used it before? It’s like a hard waxy stuff, apparently good for drilling/tapping/machining.

Will give it a whirl and see how it goes

Never used it, but co-incidentally last night I was browsing the properties of zinc phosphate and was intrigued to find it used to be used a lot in cold forging, as well as many other uses.

A set of JIS drivers. I've been using a Vessel Impacta for a couple of years and meant to get the matching set of Vessel drivers, but today saw that Sealey have made some. Cheap enough to take the gamble they might be ok. A lot of Sealey stuff is acceptable enough, but they do produce some crap. Well, import crap would be a better description, as I don't think they make much.

Followed this up by taking a brain fit and spaffing some loot on a bike scissor jack for on top of the bike ramp.
Amazon, ebay, et al, are full of junky cheap crap things, so I thought it best to splash on something that might have some quality control, even if it's made in Shenzen like all the others. There's also the chance of some comeback if this collapses and breaks my leg.

Been using a Sealey labeled scissor jack on my bike lift for a long time and its a very handy combination, came with a wheel roller which is also handy

Yep, had a bit of a tickly throat Thursday and a bit of a cough, got tested Thursday 5.30,that evening felt run down, cold, barking cough, went to bed early, rubbish nights sleep with coughing and sweats.. Didn't have a temp though.
Just sat watching telly Fri, slept great last night, right as rain this morning.
Test results then come back, positive.

One of these, very impressed with the build quality and feel really nice and balanced in the hand. Brushless motor and Samsung battery's including a 3 year warranty once you register online. Apart from that, I fancied having a classic style of key for a while, even if I do nothing more than clean it up and stick it on a shelf.

I once ripped the engine liner off the bottom of the lexus running over a ratchet strap.
In a traffic jam, so didnt see it until last second - i was only doing 10mph. Dog knows what would have happened at 60!
I did hear of someone smashing the suspension on a transit pickup when the loose end of a strap got caught around the rear wheel.

I had the rh side of a three week old jimmy ripped apart as a Range Rover towing a car on a four wheel Ifor Williams trailer in the middle lane of the M25 drove past me at about 50 mph on the M 25 as I was stopped in a traffic queue . One of the three inch wide ratchets ends anchored at the hook end was still on the strap as it flapped & bounced along it left me with a 19 x 2 inch wide rip along the rh side & having to pay £ 75 excess when I got it repaired.

For the simply constructed key @Farside has, a disassembly and soak in apple-cider vinegar will dissolve all oxidation / corrosion and bring the parts back looking as new.

I've acquired a little bit of micro spot corrosion on some supposedly 18/18 high end stainless steel shower / bathroom disable persons support arm bracket , other fittings & some stay bright steel lockers & cabinets inthe bathroom.
Anyone know how to dissolve it back to clean metal & prevent more happening?
