Took my Volvo v70, for a French MOT today.
It's 19 years old, in good nick, nearly 400k kilometers, that's not the issue.
Two years ago I threw it at a garage, as the front shocks were knocking, I expected the top swivel bits, sorry, don't know the name in English.
They changed the shock absorbers, then I had to go back as it hadn't solved the problem.
They changed the swivel top things, sorted.
MOT, today, front shocks haven't failed, but suggesting issues, but he says in two years time they'll probably need changing.
I always, always do my own work, first time I've been to a garage in 15 years, hate suspension springs, frightens me.
But I was busy and had a bit of money.
The rear shocks are original.
Is this normal?
