Tacho wring with electronic ignition?

Any electrical whizz kids on here please?
I am trying to connect an MGB, late one, so probably RC2, to my Minor with electronic ignition, but does not operate when following the diagram that I have. Any clues please?

Sorry, have to ask. Why do you want to connect an MGB to a Morris Minor?

you'll need to make sure its a rvc tachometer rather than the earlier rvi tachometer, but a late mgb one should be the rvc ones. Was the tachometer working when you bought it? I had an early (rvi) rec counter, it didnt work with electronic ignition, so I made my own circuit board. Im no electronics engineer though.
