After I broke my wrist the physio gave me a small tub of what looked like playdoh to build up the strength.

From FFX i got 6 heads for my cordless sander as they don't last very long, when i wear them out i will recycle them by gluing coarse emery paper on.

Many things
Many things of fun to repair.
Heavy old lump, it was seized, but a few taps with a hammer had it free to turn.
The quick release needs some attention. But don't they all.
A guiltine.
The blade is very sharp. It looks like a old school or a photgraph shop picture trimming guiltine. There are some marks on the base, but the dirt is hiding them well.
Cobbilers pliers.
Seamans Clasp knife.
There are some date stamps, but very faint.
I hope to be able to save them.
A brass thing of fun and joy.

A few items arrived by post as well.
A 1980's Mamod Stationjary Steam engine.
I will be asking where the rest of the parts are, as there is a major part missing.
Very dirty, in need of seels and a clean up.
I may have some spares, we will have to look.
Now this engine was on my want list for a long time. But until recently the price was too high.
But as the trader was not selling the price fell, then when it was pointed out to that it:
Was not a cuctomized Manor or Live steam engine. It came lower.
It was in need of a lot of work, lower.
Then bits had gone missing, lower, untill it wa sin my pocket money range.
Needs a lot of work.
But veery little in time to strip.
This really does not show how much is needed. But we will ahve a good go.

Can you imagine the equivalent steam engine now....it would have to have a cage around it to stop kids losing a finger in the spinney bits!

Picked up a three draw Halfords mid unit to hold my lathe tools etc 
Acquired another 5 years of employability today.
Had all my licenses, passport and lifting certs photocopied when I started the new job on Monday and realised that my Slinger/Signaller expired in June, so the company booked me on a course they were running today. An interesting day with another 3 drivers, filled with lots of laughs and a disconcerting time spent doing a blind lift. To give us all an idea of how it feels, I was stood at the front of the lorry operating the crane acting on signals given to me by one of the lads stood well forward of me who was taking signals from another of the lads stood at the back of the trailer, who was in turn taking signals from the slinger who was completely out of my sight!
Very disconcerting to say the least, even more so because not only is it nearly 2 years since I last operated that particular crane, but also standing at the front of the wagon it was almost impossible to hear the change in engine note as the hydraulics started pumping, and I therefore had no idea how fast or slow the crane was moving. It's not a situation that most hiab men would ever find themselves in, but it was a worthwhile exercise in both communication and the value of having total trust in your signaller.
