Interestingly, the packing slip refers to them as "galvanised silver", which I presume means the colour! I'd be happy with galvanised grey...I've had plenty of stuff like this, described as "galvanised", obviously electroplated rather than hot dip. But if galvanised means "coated in zinc" then they get away with it :-(

Anyways, filed a return on ebay and the automated system says that the seller must provide me with a return slip by 14th October, so that seems like it's done and dusted...
Ordered a ten pack from screwfix for pickup tomorrow, ironically cheaper than the ebay lot...

they can do a hot spray zinc but I think you still get the pattern.
