Don't know how long it's been like this,I've just got on with the weldiing I'm hoping to just replace the gauge,as I can't be hassled with getting a complete reg,as I only work in metric sizes. These imperial sizes do baffle me a bit. And I'm prefering to stay with the setup I have,as it took me a while to get the adaptor.

I've measured across the the adaptor which measures 0.856". And the the gauge,measuring across the thread,is 0.516". And I've screwed in a 19mm bolt into the reg,where the gauge screws in.
So,if anyone can shed any light into what thread size I would need to for the gauge?
And what is the maximum PSI when welding?

When you say 19mm bolt, I presume thats the spanner size, in which case it will be an M12 bolt, that gauge is almost certainly 1/4" BSP which has an overall Diameter of 13.1mm, a bolt of the wrong thread is not the best thing to seal a gas port, a 1/4" BSP plug would be better, or even better still put a new gauge in.

yep,an M12 I've used
