What is a good cutting off disc for Dremel

Hi all, I have a Dremel type tool (Well Aldi/Liddel equivalent lol)I recently had to cut through some small bolts on a model I'm making, No problem I thought so I got the tool out and fixed one of those small black rotary slitting type discs on to it mandrill .They were so thin I broke loads just trying to fit them on the mandrill of the Dremel. So I ordered about 25 off eBay and they where worse, Every one disintegrated while trying to cut off a couple of small bolts. Very Dangerous' I did try them at most speeds and all either broke fitting them to the Dremel mandrill or flying off in bits.... My question is what type of cutting off discs do you guys use on your Dremel or equivalent type and where do you buy them from...PS I gave up and uses a junior hacksaw.

Never had a problem with the Dremel ones personally. You are letting the disc do the work? As they do wear down quick if you lean on them

Are you overtightening the screw on the mandrel? They do break if you're not careful with them but they're so small they don't really do any damage when they do let go (Provided you're wearing glasses of course).

I’ve found the Dremmel ones to be good too allowing the tool to do the work. Most others I’ve tried have shattered in use.
I’m using the Dremmel quick lock now. The discs are more expensive but they're more stable in use.

i use these reinforced ones , not too bad for light work but you cant push on them or expect much

I use exactly the same ones!

The quick lock are a lot quicker and a lot easier to change when they do explode.

High speed, very light pressure and they work fine.

I use them a lot and never really had a problem. I find if you do err in using it it just detaches from the mandrel but stays on it as opposed to breaking up. They last quite well too but are expensive if you use a lot. I tend to buy them in bulk as opposed to buying one cartridge of them as i always find a job for them!

Thanks every one for the replies' Have taken advise from you good people and I will now purchase the more expensive ones, I suppose its the old saying you get what you pay for..!!

You will need the holder and with use these can wear so get two would be my advice.
