I don't own a 3D printer and I'm not in the market for one either. However, I would like to avail myself of the capabilities of them in the future, in particular to print a housing for some electronics to go in an automotive environment
Sadly not having a printer to hand makes testing whether my chosen modeller (solvespace) is working as I think it is a slightly more annoying task.
Would any of the 3D printing members be up for printing a test object I've made up? It's a very simple 30mm cuboid bowl with a 3mm wall, looks like this:
As you can see, nothing special. I'm just after knowing that when it's actually printed in reality it's pretty much what I'm expecting. I'm aware of the variance in the printing process and this item is not dimensionally important, nor do I need it sending to me - I literally want to know if it prints properly and as expected or not
I've checked a few of the online providers but there's a lot to choose from and as I say, I don't want the thing, I just want to know my modeller works.
Happy to send some ducats your direction to cover the consumables and power usage X
