I use a stabilla scaffolders level there about 28 quid but I payed nowhere near that I got a wickes one for a tenner and toolstation are doing them about that price .there both stabilla just badged up and sold for big money

Wickes at one point had a brilliant range of levels.

Spent ages trying to track down a level with adjustable bubbles but there not made anymore from what I can see

That would be dangerous most builders cant sharpen a pencil, no house would be level.

I took 3 apparently wonky levels from a skip all checked out fine. None knew how to check them

mines a little red one but its painted yellow underneath used it for 5 years now and had to teecut the face as it was getting scratched

Even with levels which are spot bollock, a lot of them are useless on that front.

I got a forged steel one for a fiver its not accurate haven't looked at it yet to see if I can adjust it

I left mine on a few different jobs and managed to get it back I was gutted when I lost it and was quite sad I have a 3 inch bolster chisel ive used for 15 years and the handle is getting very short. id cry if I lost that

That's why I moved to the stanley's

So far there holding up well and much nicer to view the bubble than stabila

Nope. Just the scaffolding level.

You could always try not dropping them.

There is that

When you’re fitting up beams, pipes and flanges and that it’s all too easy to knock em off or the pipe spins and the Level goes flying

You usually need to use a longer level for accuracy.

I’m getting magnetic levels next time I buy some. I’m using the stabila set from Costco which is the cheap ones. I’ve got a Stanley fatmax torpedo level with magnets. That’s crap.
Two stabila magnetic toroedo levels with rare earth magnets. They’re great.
