What controller is it as wiring diagram from that would help

No marking on it but it’s got matching blades to slot in to that 6 way terminal. The 5 and 6 wires appear to go to a junction box.

to my mind 5 and 6 are for firing the boiler and powering the circulation pump.

I haven’t used a Shelly but would have thought that the green connections wouldn’t be needed, just the yellow ones you have marked. Auto control from the controller and wifi from the Shelly in parallel. Are the SW connections for manual control for example a light switch as I don’t think you would need them

Yes it’s for manual control but if I take the output from the timer panel then it will act as a switch - I.e. if the wifi isn’t available it’ll still work the original way (important for W.A.F)

The controller will provide the manual control through the relay inside the unit.
That unit is a danfoss FP975 as I had the same one previously. Model no is also on the back next to the ce marking

spec’d to 3A per channel so no worries from that point of view.

It may not be a FP975 as I think mine has more connections. As I said before I haven’t used a Shelly so not sure how the SW connections work. Keeping the green connections as your diagram may give the option to turn off from Wi-fi if required

That’s as neat as I can get it and I’m printing a screw down cover now

works as hoped: original operation is unaffected but I can now turn hot water and circulation on and off remotely.

Bonus: the relay reports power coonsumption so if I had a mind to I could monitor normal pump consumption and trigger an alert if it deviates
