its on tomorrow so will go and see if I can get some stuff. a petrol lawnmower welding goggles and a propane regulator wanted was busy last month but nothing floated my boat apart from a bacon sarnie and a cup of tea need to get some cash spent on goodies

I have bought some decent things from Newark autojumble years ago - but now the good stuff goes on Ebay.

yeah that's why I go to the local one, Ive been going there for over 20 years now and I still think that some of the items for sale have been going for longer than that. ebay does seem to have killed off alot of the decent stuff from autojumbles if you can post things, you have got a wider audience. plenty of cheap poor quality tools and consumables at the autojumbles these days though.

I go in the works van so fuel costs don't enter in to it. yea it can be hard in business sometimes but theres a lot of perks

yeah even pound shops seem overpriced for some of the things they sell.

One thing which I have noticed which seems to be cheaper is food in the UK

Alot of countries I've visited I have been shocked at some of the prices!

Fuel is cheaper in Europe, my list could go on

What I like is that you never know what you might find at one of these jumble / boot type sales. My Wife & I are going to a market tomorrow at an old industrial plant, mostly junk there, but I've noticed many are not dealers or regular sellers so bargains can still be had. It's a fun morning out anyway, and maybe I'll find another vice that I don't need.

Carboots are better value but slimmer pickings. Dealers know the price of everything and charge accordingly at autojumbles. I bought a marking gauge at a carboot rather cheap. You cant google the price of stuff if you don't know what it is. There's a tool dealer at the local car boot and he's the last place I look if I even bother.

there's always the chance of picking a scoop up and if u didn't go you would be kicking yourself wondering most times I go I could pick cable up real cheap and flog it full price so pays for the day

well a good day was had. it was heaving loads of private sellers . not seen it as busy in 4 years scored a mint lawnmower for 40 quid / 1st time pull and its away , had the choice of 8 of them all in good nick . a pair of welding goggles 3 quid .a Clarke roof burning torch and regulator a tenner and a box of 50 slitting disks for 20 quid brother bought an absolute mint machine vice for 15 quid and a few bits and pieces ,
