I did that once, when i had finished the plug was stuck in the socket, so i welding at both ends of the machine, upgraded power supply since then.

I never even noticed the date!
But aldi just had the arc welders back in the other day, probably all gone by now though

Hi, I bought one and after some work building a trailer with 3mm section it cut out (thermal) and took 3 days to come back to life.

Its fine on thin stuff with 1.6/2mm rods though.

I'm after a MIG now for a chassis I'm about to start (once I have one!)

Seriously, if it doesn't come back to life within say, 10 mins or so then it's faulty.
Was it just the once it hit the thermal cut-out or several times?
