I acquired some hot sweet LED light!

Only temporary, we bought it to go in the shed (If I ever finish it ) but I put a bit of flex on it and hung it above my lathe with nylon webbing to check it doesn't strobe or anything - all good, and much brighter, lower energy and turns on faster than the old fluorescent fitting. When it goes in the shed we'll order a couple more for the garage.

Emulsion spray paint your garage walls with several coats of white ... the effect is astounding . I've got soft white & hard white 20 watt LED floods and 30 watt ( ?) LED tube lights all enclosed in spark resistant casings. The floods are angled towards the cuck of the lathe , the band saw ,the drill press and the saw bench There is hardly any shadow as a result & the hurty bits of the machinery are well illuminated .

The plan is to paint the inside of the shed white for the same reason, I'll make sure we have some paint leftover.

Last week bought some Parweld tig gloves.
I mistakenly assumed they were a good brand. They feel good, soft leather good fit..

They sent me replacements

No better, quality rubbish, bad fit. Finger ends are odd shapes.

I never buy gloves mail order. Especially tig gloves. Its bad enough trying to find a pair in the local weld supplies that fit. Fingers different lengths, all too short/long. Poor stitching. Cant get on with poor fitting clothing of any kind.

Only problem is, if a come cross a pair that fit really nicely I buy them, regardless of whether I need them or not. Last count I had 16pairs; 4 in use and 12 pair brand new.

That and Black boot polish. There’ll be more than enough for mourners at my funeral to dress up as the Black and White Minstrels

Some kind of clamp with Portec cast into it.
And this, I think it's a pattress plate used to reinforce buildings.

I sent seller the photo. She replied that she checked them herself and they had no holes. Thats either accusing me as a liar or of damaging them. PJS tools in Sittingbourne, avoid.

Black boot polish became outrageously expensive overseas a few years ago, here in the UK I've found it in the Pound shops.

Acquired these 500 mw laser pointer things , the lens parts I've unscrewed in the pic give out a dot pattern , no idea what that would be for , anyone know about these , do i need another lens for a beam ? are they standard threads ?

Is a dot pattern used for 3d scanning?

No idea about threads, but you do need a different lens - or no lens?
I know you can make a "line" lens using a glass stirring rod, but beyond that,

Today i got a gold plated jaguar emblem from a box of a sadly departed neighbours bits he collected in his 90 years, also got a pump up Osatu spray bottle for WD40 as the ones supplied seem to last a few weeks.

That jag is nice, my old man kept everyone from the numerous ones he owned and wore out or broke. The one from the 420G was massive, they feel nice to hold for some reason, as if they are still connected to the cars in some way, I cant explain it, just seems like more than an ornament for the car, I bet theres a few about but not gold plate.

Thats intresting info for me at least, they are really heavy/ dense, I always thought they were brass castings when I was a sporg.

I think they were Mazak or Zamak in the USA and chromed after, but they did feel very heavy

I have a Jaguar off a Mk10 I think it was, I was given it about 50 years ago, I mounted it on a block of wood & it sits on the mantle shelf. Wife’s stepfather ran Jags & he coveted it, kept hoping I’d let him have it, but I didn’t ‘cos he was a difficult cuss!
