Needle descaler air hammer add on things... ?

That's what the Clarke ones from Machine Mart are like, you just screw the scaler attachment on. I couldn't say if the two you have linked to are compatible with your air hammer but I'm thinking they are probably all the same.

About ten years ago i had need to descale a heavily rusted iron boat keel, so i bought one of those needle gun attachments.
The one i got was Sealey, whose stuff is usually very good.
It went onto my cheapy kestrel air chisel & worked really well, It got proper thrashed & has done a lot since. It should do the job.

Im kind of fine with that. Doing a landrover chassis before paint, and if it rips holes in it, then at least i know...

You can on the Clarke ones, there looks to be an adjuster on that blue spot one as well next to the air inlet

I got a no name generic needle scaler that is as you describe, an air chisel body with the needle bit screwed on.
Has an adjuster on the body to limit the air pressure or stroke? Go from gentle massage to unleashing holy hell on the poor metal! I quite like it, so noisy though. Bought it to derust a freelander subframe, did an admirable job, and if it pokes a hole then the metal was due to fail anyway. Best use a mask too, thick rust will come off in chunks, the lighter stuff will be pulverised into rust dust

I bought a Lidl one to use on my snap on air chisel. I needed to turn the shaft a bit smaller but for what it is I just used a grinder. Worked fine for years, although it was sporadic use.

I would say consider HAVS and get some anti vibe gloves, well worth it. Having used the dedicated straight needle guns, I’d say these add ons are what they are and can be a bit hard for access but it’s a cheaper alternative if you already have the air hammer

No what ever you do don't waste any money on those. They are utter rubbish.

Ive just prosecuted a consultant that told some workers to use anti vibration gloves.

HAVs will be stupidly high from a needle scaler gun

we used to get given them on ships to wear, them seemed ok but maybe its a placebo thing?! I tend to go for short periods when I do it to be honest, its a job I hate.

I was made to wear a wrist monitor once on one job, I think it gave us about 10 minutes on the needle gun if I remember right?

Yep that’s sounds about right

the worst thing I ever used was a multitool with a carbide blade cutting out broken tiles used it for half an hour and my hand was totally dead and tingling the other thing I did have was ear protection because they really are noisy and seem to be at the frequency to hurt your ears

Removes everything.

Although as @Parm points out yoir hands will drop off.

Reguarly resharpen the chisel, they go blunt...

only if there crap quality .the acid test is make sure there sharp and chisel some steel with them it should cut easily if there quality steel and stay sharp

its called buy a quality English cold chisel that's what they were designed for. get them second hand from bootsales .I have a few cut steel with them and if they dent or go blunt they go in the bin I have an armeg gouging chisel ive had for ten years used regular and its only been sharpened 4 times a cheapo lasts a week and its knacked

the armeg gouger in a kango hammer it cuts steel no bother for 40 quid I wouldn't expect anything else or there spade chisels
