I planned on going over on my bike as there is an annual classic bike event (not this year).
It has most of the standard Scottish things: distillery, standing stone circles, castle, museums. I heard the Heritage museum is worth a visit.

I've been a few times, if you like walking around aimlessly, hill walking/hiking abdiand cheese it's probably tremendous.
Auchrannie is a nice hotel for a weekend away if you like the aforementioned type of stuff.

Yes goatfell is very doable and gives fantastic views to inner Hebrides and Northern Ireland. The long walk over the other hills south from Lochranza to Brodick is also rewarding if more committing.
