Dvla... delays

how are people getting on with the dvla. ..?
I sent a v5 in two weeks ago and have heard nothing..
I can imagine they have a limited staff and probably can't work remotely..

All paper applications are delayed.
You can change owner over the net though - and I got a new V5 in less than a week.

They've just said on the news that the passport office currently has a backlog of 400000 applications due to the current situation so though it's a different department, that will explain your delay.

The last few I've done have all been online and got the new paperwork within a 2-4 days. We did one only a couple of weeks back and it was with us within 2 working days.

I've done one recently where I thought I'd lost the paperwork for a vehicle I bought years a go. Found the V5 from the previous owner and did the transfer myself. I did use two email addresses.

I sent a V5C up on the 24th June, nothing heard so far.
Not a problem in my case as just a spares car.

They've had my v5 since April. The annoying thing is that it's for a vehicle which I need to sell, but the v5 was sent back due to their original error on the frame number. V5 has one digit missing.
Sent them the first MOT from 2002 which is correct, frame rubbing and a photo, they've been useless. Contact close to zero, just a generic form sent, not related to my problem.
Pretty miffed as I needed the sale money 3 months ago (£4k)

Black and white dog license as it's cheaper than a colour one.

No, it is a v5 I'm waiting for as I'm changing the taxation class I've had to post it.

I had to amend my home address on my van V5 and I waited a month. Don’t worry it’ll turn up
Don’t try call the DVLA for a licence number though . I had tried so many times over the last 24h and even once it stopped telling me there were too busy it took 25min on hold to get through.

Bought 2 cars this month and both V5,s back within a week after filling in forms online

He could have done it online - saved the stamp and you'd have the V5 by now. But strangely, only between 7am and 7pm . . .
