Collage welding courses what will i need?

Hi all

I am enrolled on an evening course at Crawly collage for C&G welding. I am trying to find out if i need anything like overalls, boots, etc but they are closed now until Monday and i start Monday night.

Has anyone done this course before? can you tell me the sorts of things i might need to take.

Hi,when i done a course a few years back,we didnt do any welding on the first night...we just talked safety,the contents of the course and what we did need.
The second lesson covered basic theory and it wasnt until the 3rd lesson that we touched any welders.
Id just take a notebook and pen.
We were advised that for the practical sessions we should bring flameproof overalls ,welders gloves and wear steel toe cap boots and if possible bring a helmet but they had them there if you didnt have one.

When I did MIG, we needed a COTTON boiler-suit and steel toe capped footwear - not allowed in without !

We were welding first night ! (well - I say "welding" ! LOL)
