AA chap was saying they get more bike punctures in the rain for some unknown reason?


I can't really see the logic - anybody else got an opinion??????????

The water lubricates things so they penetrate your tyres easier!

The water lubricates the nail, bolt or whatever on the way in.
At least it's a 12.9 bolt

Yep, drivers less keen to change the wheel in the wet. Call out the rescue services, they in turn think there are more punctures in the wet due the rise in call outs

Looks like my tyre last year.... Both legs went right through so it couldnt be repaired.

I picked up a screw in one of my Winters, luckily it was positioned where a repair was possible.

[I puta brand-new tire on my stockcar and 1st race it got a 3inch slash right through on the sidewallgot an 1/8th drill and put a row of holes each side of slit and laced it back together with orange nylon chord stuck a big patch on the inside and a new innertube
and back in business ran it for 5 races and then it was worn out needless to say the patch held even though the tire got redhot and scuffed tailing the car out

Of you look carefully you can see a lot of broken steel cores in the hole. I'm not gonna bother fixing that one
