As well as shopping I needed a drink so bottle of water and one westerns vintage 8% cider, which was chilled, but almost undrinkable.

I had a couple of those the other day, didn't notice the ABV till I had finished and was decidedly wobbly. No less drinkable than any other cider, must have been the first thing I've drank all year too, I only had them because I was given them.

Got a T2 adapter and ring thing to connect my camera to my spotting scope!

That Gomu 20-60x60 is the only scope I can fit it to as the others either don't have threads on the scope to screw it on to or the eyepiece dia is too large for this to slip over

Oh, We acquired a sparrow in the conservatory for a short while, Cat was in there too, There were a few feathers on the floor but we got it out without the cat getting it properly!!

Try a stepping ring it is only 2mm each side so I doubt it will vignette.

I couldn't find fully threaded cap screws that were long enough. Rather than making one myself and broaching the socket, I decided to buy some partial thread ones and will hopefully manage to extend the thread along the rest of the screw (probably just using a split die, maybe after skimming the OD on the lathe if required).

No room for a nut (let along for the socket that goes round the nut). I'd wondered about cutting the head off a cap screw and welding it onto some threaded bar, but getting it sufficiently concentric felt like a pain in the proverbial posterior compared to running a die down (not to mention wasteful of Argon from filling my extra-long gas lines up for such a small weld). I'd also wondered about buying a fully-threaded hex-head set screw, turning the head down to 10 mm round and broaching a hex socket in it, but the hex heads on set screws are quite thin (4 mm vs 6 mm) compared to a SHCS and I want the hex socket to be fairly deep and robust as it'll be driven in and out a lot of times in its life.

I've extended threads (with a die) before on shorter (50 mm ish) cap screws and it's worked very well, so hopefully it'll be okay here too.

If its a decent grade then running a die down will be a pain, quicker and easier to line it up and single point cut it, but I generally always buy 12.9 bolts if its cap head.

Yep, just a low vacuum to draw anything up into the dressing. Don't know how much vacuum it pulls yet. Last year I had a big mains powered one that was powerful and helped to pull the wound closed as well as removing excess fluid. Seams crazy that small ones are disposable I would have expected the innards to be UV sterilised and put into new cases, some of the waste in the NHS is unbelievable.

The cost of getting it back to the correct place for sterilising, then sterilising it, then checking it, replacing the battery, repackaging, makes it cheaper to dispose and use new.

I had a job lot of new disposable stainless steel surgical tools, the scissors and forceps ect are just soft metal and only last one use.

ER32 Collet chuck for my ML7, could not measure .0001" runout on the taper, also picked up some cheap second hand collets (mix of makes, some European) that will get me started.

Central locking in the truckman top, still a bit to do including fitting the sliding door contacts and making the wiring permanent.

Fitting the sliding door contacts does mean breaking my "no holes drilled" rule but it will only be the tailgate which is a removable panel
