You needed the CANdi module to use Tech2 on the full CANbus cars.

I know, I had the full kit and the changeover cars had issues, not quite sure why you are sticking up for a manufacturer though.
I had a sideline in diagnostics and being a former boy racer lots of friends had Vauxhall's, I had a full Tech2 kit that was updated to 2010 when I sold it (in 2010) and I remember the issues well

I'm not sticking up for anybody, just explaining what worked without any issues for me.
I've had full access to vauxhall diag kit since 2000, and never once had any problems that weren't down to people selecting the wrong details. As long as things were kept updated, and you selected the right vehicle, there were never any problems due to changeover issues.

Fair enough, I'm tired of this now

The room for debate and opinion is over, essentially I disagree so must be wrong except as soon as I saw the post I knew the issue because I've seen it more than once, Vauxhall even issued a dealer bulletin and it's how I got my Tech2 updated

But if course, my opinion differs from yours so I'm wrong

That's how it works right?
