Either way it’s never too hot for me or cold

I just get on with it

I went to Dubai during there summer a year or so back and they were having record temperatures. Whilst it was hot it was still fine

I will say it has been windy for days I can honestly only remember one day recently when we were out on the bikes and it was the only calm day in a week or so

well that was fun. no sleep 2 nites ago and tired went to bed last nite 11 thirty and wide awake 1 thirty got up watched tv till 2 thirty went to sleep and woke up wide awake 5 am so just got up made a cup of tea and watched telly till 9 am . washed me van and car inside and out then polished them both and just dossed around the rest of afternoon watering plants . strange really as not tired at all

yet it was in 1976 when it was really hot for a few weeks i always remembered we all went swimming in the Derwent damn where they trained for the dam busters

The fabulous summer of '76. I was leaving school that year, and our all-boys school was merging with an all-girls school, the following school year, so for experimentation we 5th formers all had to go to the girls school from Easter until July.

It were grand, going to school in short sleeve shirts, no blazers, hardly any lessons, grand memories.

I'd like to tell you all about the shenanigans with girls behind the bike shed etc..... ..but there were none.

Selective memory is a wonderful thing, as I know I was suffering horribly from hay fever and asthma at that age, bright red sore eyes, sneezing, wheezing all day long, up coughing all night.... but I rarely remember any of that about the summer of '76.

I hate the heat - funny as I spent the first part of my life in the Middle East and Africa.
My staff all say I am like a polar bear!
As a result I am nearly passing out now. Been 26C plus here all week - yes in Swansea! 30C in the warehouse - I was trying to fix the forklift and my welder now I am well enough - but retired to my air conditioned office now
Damn warehouse is always too hot or too cold. 4C in winter and 30+ in summer - can't win!

I worked in Abu Dhabi some 20 years ago, 46c in the shade most days, but it wasn't sweaty weather at all.

its a dry heat over here anything over 20c and its sweaty working because of the humidity .just imagine it in the jungle

The hosepipe ban was mentioned earlier on, it's coming, we live in an area with a lot of reservoirs and the main ones are getting low, the lowest I've ever seen them was 2018, it's not that bad, yet.

To help matters we've currently got a helicopter scooping out water and dumping it on the moors as people think it's essential to be able to cook their asda bangers up on the moors at the expense of a shed load of fire engines, fire fighters working in blistering heat, helicopters, mountain rescue, farmers and all trying to put it out. 2nd one in two days, at least the 4th so far this year

Grew up round here and fires very rarely if ever happened it's multiple ones every year now, and big ones, but people still must have their bangers and burgers on the moors

Swansea has always had a problem with grass fires. Lots of little scrotes around. In fact the big hill overlooking Swansea has been nicknamed Mount Kilvey as it is always wreathed in smoke

Where is that? I know there was a fire at Bamford Edge recently, apparently morons had parked blocking the road so fire engines struggled to get to it.

I think they used to take a few mirrors off and minor panel damage but they're probably not allowed to anymore, if they ever were.

I've seen pictures of people parked in front of hydrants (In america) and they've smashed the windows to pass the hose through the car. Not sure why they couldn't just pass it under the car but hey, it looked cool.

that would spoil there fun and wouldn't prove a point another thing firemen like is cutting the roof of peoples cars

It gets 90-100F here, but with the altitude and clear skies, it usually cools down to the 60s at night.
As long as it is cool enough to sleep, the rest of the day can go hang.
