Cable run advice req

Can i run cable behind plaster board, it's a feed to outside light, I had run it in a plastic chanel but I've now taken all the plaster off, can I clip it direct to brick and then dot n dab board over it?

yes you can clip it direct without covering best not to splatter a big dab over it mind if your real fussy u can put plastic capping over it but its not a regulation . hope your going to tidy that mess up . also any cables buried in walls less than 25mm must be rcd protected and in safe zones

Not if its on an existing circuit, part p covers next to nothing

It was pre existing, the previous **Language**wits used 3core flex to the light but connected onto the un earthed flex from an old ceiling rose.

Safe zone? Pic on way.

I can keep the chanel, I've run it straight up the wall from rear of light is this ok

and if its your own house it don't matter at all as long as its right im not one of these people strutting round waving certificates preaching what u can and cant do . ive seen some good work by people that aren't in the business and better than some that are

Our house had new du fitted bout 6years ago and everything was checked, appears the outside light minus earth was missed lol
