I use a Hilti drill with sds plus with core drills 40/50 mm,always on hammer as I can’t get them to cut on rotary only, today for the 3 rd time in as many years, the adapter shank snapped deep inside the nose of the machine, which came out with dismantling, does anyone experience this with regular use of cores,or is it a consequence of hammer use?

the amount of people I see haven't got the upper arm strength to hold the machine and end up on the floor with broken wrists
even though its knacking work I do it myself
having said that I grit my teeth sometimes and had to let go and watch the drill wind up the flex then snap
only once I was up a pair of steps augering and got hit in the face with the drill that had no clutch and layed me out off the steps
. It owed me nothing and I've bought the same one again.
