About a month ago I bought an RBC 5000 plasma cutter
I only need occasional thin metal cutting for sculptures and car stuff
First the bad..
It came with a three pin plug with a chunk of metal across where the fuse should be. Which is pretty poor.
I put a 16amp blue plug on straight away. Please don't use tools that are not fused properly.
Everything else so far has been fantastic. It runs constantly on my compressor which is also awesome after several years.
You need to strike it to start but fires easily.
Cuts thin metal 1,2,3mm easily and neatly and is stated to cut 12mm
I have also cut 10mm stainless bar like butter.
Its set most of the time at 40 ish amps and 80psi air in
Never has to wait for air pressure from the compressor even on long cuts
Because you strike the arc the tip can get sticky but with practice it's easy.
After several hours of cutting I'm on my third tip. I do take responsibility for wrecking the first two.
Found the torch light and easy to use with a nice trigger
I paid £234 for it and so far as a hobby plasma cutter it's has been great.
I just hate that it's delivered without a proper fuse in the plug.
