Yes the angled ones are handy, don’t see many though. I have a 24” one with the angled head.

Now owned by snap on and mostly made in Spain.
The old ones are far superior to the new adjustables. Although bahco still leagues ahead of the competition.
that looks like a cranked head, 75 degree or something. Very useful on pipe work, flanges, valves and the like.
You often see that pattern crop up in Beryllium Copper. Anti spark for the petroleum/refinery bunch.

Bahco is (or was) definitely Swedish. As Brad93 said, they are owned by Snap-on and I believe some of their stuff is now made in Spain. Snap-on also bought Spanish manufacturer Irimo, and whilst 2+2 doesn’t equal 5 I strongly suspect there’s a link. Having said that, I bought a pair of Irimo pliers recently that were made in China....
The Bahco shifters definitely aren’t as good as they used to be. The jaws seem to bruise easily, my newest one seems very soft, not like the old ones. Next time I buy one I’ll try an Irega (still made in Spain) or cough up for a Unior.

Mine also soft and the black phosphate is now like a grey vapour blast finish.
I’ve double checked this and it definitely doesn’t.
It’s late and I’ve been on the wine so don’t want to spread misinformation.

found an huge'ish adjustable wrench in a car boot in France......looked neglected and surface rust then smothered in oil for selling purposes......
grab'd a handfull of gravel / sand from the pitch.......
it was an old genuine Cresent, USA......

We had a big old thing offshore, 36", with the jaws at 90º to the handle. No idea what it was originally meant for.
