Not yet,the immediate need is because the pebbledash render has been detaching for a number of years, and I like the look and contrast of WRC,long term I will consider the inside as we get mould.
We keep the windows (1 per side),open thru the winter.the roof is concrete then lead over,so is watertight. If the porch is sealed to the elements then it should be warmer once you insulate the outside, so condensation and mould should disappear. Warmth from the house should also heat the porch, I’d think. It does have a proper watertight external door etc?
Ventilation will reduce condensation, but also make the porch cold, which defeats the purpose of insulating it.
You might want to insulate the roof too, concrete is a big heat sinc.We keep the windows (1 per side),open thru the winter.the roof is concrete then lead over,so is watertight.
Yes properly sealed room, very tight fitting doors.
Not a lot of point insulating if you leave windows open all winter. If it is kept warm you won’t get condensation, but if the damp is coming up from the ground you are fighting a different battle. We keep the windows (1 per side),open thru the winter.the roof is concrete then lead over,so is watertight.
Yes properly sealed room, very tight fitting doors.
It is concrete, hopefully reinforced as there’s a 2700L tank underneath,is your second sentence meant to state insulating the floor externally and internal.Seeing the pictures, is that a solid concrete floor exposed to the elements too?
If it is, I would stick 100mm king span on the too. And then over board it with so ething weather proof.
