I'd be interested in the small square ones as they look like the might fit the big face mill.

Would also be interested in some of the round ones, could make a holder.

@dyno-tron would take the rest for sculptures rather than scrap

I wonder if the big triangular ones could be honed on a diamond wheel and used as a machine way scraper.

Some of the woodturners use carbide, especially those using epoxy and wood. Would they be any use there?

The triangular and sqaure/rec look to be face milling inserts for cast

state a price for selling in part lots on here . problem is there's hundreds of different sizes and makes of tips so its a minefield on someone having the correct holder to take them. it would be a punt getting the right ones that fit

They are worth a good few quid each if bought new. I have several boxes of various sizes and types, with their respective turning tools, boring bars etc, because one day I'm going to buy a big lathe......

Aye, I discovered that yesterday after I broke my parting off one. Tried it as 'nothing to lose' and it's parting off like a good 'un....for the moment, anyway.

He didn't ask what they were, only if they are worth anything.

IMO they are essentially worthless unless you are willing to mess about trying to hold out for the guy that has the old obsolete tool and wants them, if you can accurately identify them in the first place (not easy on obsolete styles)

I gave all mine away so at least someone could do something with them.

That is true, but they are from an industrial-sized machine from about 1990, about two generations of cutting tool technology ago. Hence, they have little value as inserts. So either scrap carbide or repurpose and sell for scrap price plus 10%.

Absolutely spot on. I have a box of oddball Carbide that once in a long while I can make a oddball cutter from.
