Lens tool amazing quality

Just bought this for dismantling lenses etc.
Amazing quality much better than I expected.
Lovely finish.
All for the princely sum of £11 with fast free delivery.
I bet 30 years ago you would have paid £100 for a specialist tool like this.

No idea at all. Loads of people selling them online. I bet they all come out of the same factory. And yes probably China but who knows?
I really am very very impressed with the quality. I was expecting rubbish but it really isn't.
Surprising weight to it. Lovely finish no machining marks or anything.

There is a special tool for removing watch backs that comes with sets of pins to accommodate different requirements.
Have a look in ebay, the tool and pins are like the one I have in the photos and have six or more sets of pins with them; cost is only about £7.oo
.

Never done it before
Mind you I have ground mirrors and lenses in the past so will give it a try.
Starting out on cheap ones first

Usually find they have way more fungus than expected so they stay in bits

Can't you clean it once they're apart? I don't really know much about what it is just that it's always mentioned when you buy a second hand lens.

I have a few the same, was going to say by the time you take them apart its too late for them

It eats into the coating, sometimes get lucky but I've scrapped nearly every infected lens I've had
