i prefer fiberglass myself. works well and lasts for donkeys.

Just redid a single, low pitch garage roof here in corrugated, plastisol coated tin. Came as a kit, cut to length, full length sheets, can be used on a really low pitch. Was really simple. I can't see exactly which roof you're talking about though so may not be appropriate.

I used cladco. Not the cheapest probably but they were local and was good to go to the showroom to see it.

I have cheaped out on workshop roofing sheets and do regret it, if going with tin sheets/box profile go for the insulated ones or at the very least the ones with the anti condensation material on the back.

Agreed. I didn't on this garage as it currently isn't used for anything "wet". I put a layer of membrane underneath the tin, with an airgap, so I can insulate from below in future if required.

I've always been a felt and nails lad as that's how my dad hot me repairing his shed when I was 8 years old . Never tried torching felt on is is pretty easy? Working on narrowboats there's always gas bottles around the yards

I like shingles.

Last few I did I'd wrapped the roof and walls in tyvek decent felt underlay then shingles
More durable than one layer of felt and still easy to install.

I have the insulated tile effect sheets on my workshop, it was not cheap, but looks soooooo nice and worth the money

Just found some pictures of when I built my shed. Most of the timber used was old pallets that were going to be skipped. The planks are an inch thick! We build all the sections in 3ftx6ft panels that were easy to maneuver and bolt together.
