Should I reuse this petrol?

I took the jag off the road in September with about 65 liters of fuel still in it
Needs to come out to do the fuel pumps, first 10 liters had quite a lot of water in it, suspect the drain around the filler had clogged in the heavy rain we had.

Thew that away, it's coming out clear now,
Worth putting in another car or chuck it?

I have two other cars it can go in or the pressure washer

I would, but that's no recommendation. Water falls through petrol and leaves no real trace very quickly IME.

That said, I'd not put it in a small engine, it's too easy to clog the carbs. An old carbed V8 is what you want, jets you can clear with your finger.

Failing that mix leave a bit of space when you fill up with fresh and top up with the old stuff when you get home.

Hi, Any low power or low compression engine like a Briggs and Stratton will run on it happily. Or mix it in with a fresh refill. If you think there's still water in it add some Methylated Spirit which will remove or soak up the water and it will get burnt in the engine as normal.

The water should have taken all the ethanol out :-). I'd just bung some in the daily car now and then.

Prop aircraft drain the water out of the fuel tanks as part of the ground check before take off so it should be fine. As said, old low compression engines like Briggs will run on custard given half a chance

Jet aircraft scavenge the water and bung it through the engines.

Decided to chuck it,
Started getting quite a lot of water coming out again so not worth the risk.

Petrols cheap enough at the min anyway

BS engines Yeah if u can get em run at all. Give me a Honda or Yamaha any day.

Great for degreasing something like an old CV joint for inspection.

Also super handy for kicking off a rainy bonfire night!

Mate uses old fuel mixed with heating oil as wash off degreasing.

When I sold my Chevy Blazer, injected not carb. It had stood for 5 years +, used a starter pack and it fired up second go on the key. I was expecting all sorts of problems with the old fuel but it ran sweet as a nut.
