Valves wanted

Does anybody have a bucket of old valves out of any sort of engine? I have two projects that are cluttering up my head, both need a collection of valves.
I cant imagine anybody throwing them out, happy to pay for some (as long as they are cheap) mathed sets would be best but whatever is out there, how many ? one job needs about a dozen, the other quite a few.
Projects are black op's, but pictures will appear when done.

Does not matter, giant marine diesel valves? perhaps a bit big but beautiful things.
What size? hmmm he says about so big? finger and thumb measures about 40mm? but exact size does not matter very much; smaller is fine or bigger.

I bet a cylinder head machine shop has plenty in their scrap bin! Probably not straight ones though

I have often wondered about that, I imagine a great you tube moment.
Not in a desperate rush; keen to get this moving but I can see lots of uses for them

The sodium filled valves I’ve seen are drilled down through the stem & if you look at the top where the rocker acts on you could see a plug brazed in, so they must be able to take a reasonable amount of heat. I don’t know if this is how they are all done, haven’t seen any for many years.

I used ford pinto race (stainless) exhaust valves tigged stems out, into the end af an inch and a quarter stainless milk pipe as the rear bumper of my trike. Obviously the stems were cut off (I used them tigged onto the face to machine a curve into the 'outside'.
Looked really good, polished up great.
