Gasket Material Sheets.

I have a few on going projects were in the near future I will need a selection of gasket sheets.
To make up new gaskets.

The gaskets will cover.
Small engine head gaskets. I may have to buy OE for that.

Water pump gaskets.
Water jacket gaskets.

Oil pump gaskets.
Sump gaskets.

You get the range.

Who knows off a decent supplier. I can ring up, visit and get sheets.

I've a roll of gasket paper if you need 'some', I'll see what it says on it, suitable water and oil pumps etc.

Won't do head gasket obviously.

If you want a4 / a3 I can post.

Try your local bearing and seal factor, should keep sheet gasket paper in stock, my one has up to 1/4 inch thick sheets

plenty on ebay......a lot of the time I use Wellseal or a decent RT Silicone.....
when making proper gaskets u'll need some hole punches.....also not so exp on ebay....

Mine used to, but now it is all engine kits only.

E-bay is not a choice for me, at present.

I remember seeing such like in many of the independent car spares shops back in the day, real shame that most of them have disappeared due to Halfords.

I picked up a gasket sheet at an auto jumbo last year funny enough, maybe another option for the OP, well assuming that they won't all be cancelled due to this virus.

Doesn't anyone make gaskets from cornflakes boxes any more? The waxed card used to be great for waterpump gaskets etc.

You'll only find that at the dedicated auto ones I'd say,....this stall holder were obviously a trader in such bits, all new bits & bobs for us folk who work on vehicles.

Hi TYA,

Funnily enough, I was looking for gasket material only last week. I needed a piece of 0.8mm N-8094 material to make a new sump gasket for my old Morris and whilst the interweb threw plenty of suppliers, none sold anything big enough (I needed a minimum length of 550mm). As luck would have it, one of the sellers happened to be just a few minutes from me in Devizes so I dropped in on the off-chance and sure enough the chap there chopped me a 200mm piece off a 1m roll and only charged me a fiver. I'll get 3 or 4 sump gaskets out of thet.
